Processing refunds

Credit Card refunds require an Internet connection. Your refund data will sync with your Back Office when your iPad has an Internet connection.

Refund on App

Select “Order History” from the home screen.

You can search the order either by receipt number, date or credit card number.
First, tap the search icon.

Select Card #, Receipt # or Date.

To search by card number, enter the last 4 digits of card number of the order you are searching.

To search by receipt number, enter the receipt number of the order you are searching.

To search by date, select the date and tap "Done".

Select the order from the results, then press the "Refund" button in the lower right area.

The Refund screen will open.

First, select the item you want to refund. As a default, all items containing a chip will be selected.
When refunding the full amount for all items containing a chip, simply tap “Refund”.
However, if you wish to refund only certain items, press “Uncheck All” to deselect all items. Then select the item you wish to refund, and then tap “Refund”.

By tapping “Details”, you can view the breakdown of items.

 

Select the payment method to which the refund will be provided. The payment method used by the customer at checkout is displayed by default.
Tap the “Refund” button.

The refund is complete and the Refund Customer Receipt is automatically printed.
If Customer Receipts are not set to be automatically printed in your Printer Settings, tap “Print Customer Receipt”.

Enter the reason for the refund in the "Remarks" field and tap ”Done”.
"Remarks" field is required.

After the refund is processed, the Payment Status will be shown as “Refunded” or “Partially Refunded”.
Also, you can recheck the details of the refund if you tap the refund information under "Transactions".

Note

There are some restrictions depending on which payment method is originally used.

Cash

  • Only cash refunds can be issued.
  • Multiple cash refunds can be issued until the full amount is refunded.

Credit Card payments/CNP

  • Cash or card refunds can be issued.
  • For cash refunds, multiple cash refunds can be issued until the full amount is refunded.
  • For credit cards, refunds can only be given once. Once a partial refund is processed by Credit Card, then no more refunds can be processed, even in cash.

Other

  • Only cash refunds can be issued.
  • Multiple cash refunds can be issued until the full amount is refunded.

Note

This data cannot be recovered once it has been deleted.
