【Credit Card】A Debit Card payment is declined after choosing "2) Debit" instead of "1) Credit" on the Card Reader

Solution

This might happen depending of the type of credit/debit card being used.
Choosing “1) Credit” may allow the card to be approved.
If this does not solve the issue, there may be a problem with the individual credit/debit card. Please ask your customer to:

  • Use another card, or
  • Choose "Manual Entry" instead of "PIN/Swipe" if you have this option.
